Program Hakkında

Dört yıllık EDEP Onur programı, üniversitelere kayıtlı olan kız öğrencilere İslam Medeniyeti'nin köklü bilimsel geleneği ile çağdaş sosyal bilimleri tanıtmak amacıyla tasarlanmıştır. Amacımız, klasik ve modern eğitimin iki kanadına sahip olan zülcenâheyn âlimeler yetiştirmektir. İnanıyoruz ki, çağdaş dünyanın sorunları ancak medeniyetimizin ilmî mirasıyla çağdaş bilgi arasındaki eleştirel iletişimi gerçekleştirebilen alimler tarafından çözülebilir.

EDEP Onur Programı İstanbul'da Üsküdar ve Fatih'teki eğitim binalarında yüz yüze olarak düzenlenmektedir. Eğitim dili Türkçe ve Arapça'dır.

Program Overview

The 4-year EDEP Honors program is designed to introduce female students already enrolled in secular universities to the time-honored scholarly traditions of Islamic Civilization as well as comparative Social Sciences. Our aim is to produce graduates dhu'l-janahayn – with two wings of classical and modern education. We believe that the challenges of the modern world can be analyzed and answered only by knowing both the traditional scholarly heritage of Islamic Civilization in critical dialogue with modern scientific knowledge. The program aims at educating future scholars who can tackle contemporary problems facing humanity from an authentic Islamic perspective. Classes are held in person in one of the buildings of EDEP in Üsküdar or Fatih, in Istanbul. The language of instruction is Turkish and Arabic.
